Hi, I'm Ms. Byrne

I am a teacher for the Surprise location.  I have been part of the Legacy Family since December of 2018. I started with the Legacy Family as a program para. As a program para I helped implement activities and lesson for the students in hopes to reach their IEP goals.  My previous experience have been with the visually impaired and behavior at a different district. Before I moved to Arizona, I was a director of a before and after school program in Lewes, Delaware.  I spent over 17 years in the early childhood profession and changed career paths when I moved to Arizona in 2016. I graduated from Grand Canyon University with my degree in Elementary and Special Education.  My goal as a teacher is to make sure every child has a fair, appropriate and equal chance to learn.  I have the love and passion for children's growth and development.  I strive daily to bridge the gap of general education and special education. 

I am a single mother to my daughter, Madyson, who will be a Freshman at Valley Vista High School in the Fall of 2019.  We enjoying spending time shopping, with friends and just laughing our way through life. I enjoy traveling, Disney and anything cactus, if you have not noticed already :-)
